Saturday on the lake

Had a really nice day on the lake saturday lots of people out fishing from the salthouse.
Not much fish being caught yet mainly to bright and sunny and water is still a bit high still what a great day to be out ion the water if nothing else.
Saw a couple of guys fishing for pike not sure how they got on but they looked happy.
Not long now to wait until the May Fly two weeks should do it especially if this weather keeps up.

Getting Ready for the Mayfly

Spent the weekend washing and cleaning the boat,getting it ready to be painted really looking forward to the Mayfly this year.
Dont know why just am maybe its because I did not get out on the lake much last year.
The water is really high for this time of year at the salthouse hope it does'nt make much more rain.
Still very cold as well maybe this will change over the next couple of days.
Also I was back at the salthouse yesterday and some of the boats were getting really battered from the waves one in paticular hope the owners come soon.
Still not many people out fishing yet couldnt blame them though with the weather I dont think I will be able to say the same next month!!
